2024 Capital Projects Spending
Weโre pleased to share the 2024 Capital Project and Budget information with the Town of Grimshaw residents. Hereโs a summary of the planned improvements and investments in our community in 2024 being funded from the Town of Grimshaw Capital Reserves.
๐ Cemetery Improvements: $20,000
๐Outdoor Swimming Pool: $39,000 (Pool cover, slide, floor coating)
๐Parks: $40,000 (Picnic tables, garbage bins, dugout safety fence for diamonds 3 and 4, Dog Off-Leash Park)
๐ Fitness Center Equipment: $10,500
๐ Printer for Multiplex: $11,700
๐ Paving Projects: $1,050,000 53rd & 54th Ave (1 block on each avenue) $685,819 plus engineering
๐ Public Works Equipment: $25,000
๐ Lagoon Cleaning: $75,000
๐ Sewer Manhole/Main Replacement: $100,000
๐ To Fix Water Breaks Patches: $75,000

Note that Capital Reserves are allocations of funds specifically for the Town's capital projects. These reserves are budgeted yearly before property tax mill rates are calculated. Grant Funding for 2024 capital projects includes $413,400 from the Local Government Fiscal Framework Grant and $636,600 from the Canada Community Building Fund Grant.
