Grimshaw Regional Healthcare Attraction and Retention Committee (GRHARC)

Healthcare and medical services are critical to a community to ensure ongoing services are provided in the Grimshaw region. For the past 15 years, the Grimshaw Regional Healthcare Attraction and Retention Committee (GRHARC) has been keeping a pulse on that.

Committee Representation Includes

The committee consists of elected officials from the Town of Grimshaw, County of Northern Lights, Municipal District of Peace 135, the Village of Berwyn, a CAO from each municipality, a local physician, a physician resource planner from AHS, two members at large, and a consultant from RhPAP (Rural Health Professionals Action Plan).

Committee Objectives

Coordinating the attraction and retention of healthcare professional and facilitating community involvement in partnership with schools, physicians, local health related businesses, and AHS. 

Grimshaw Regional Healthcare Attraction and Retention Committee Scholarship Program

This scholarship is intended for high school students, students already in a qualifying program, and adults considering enrolling in a medical or health-related program in person or online. It is designed to provide financial support to students entering a healthcare or medical-related program and encourage them to live and work in the Grimshaw region.
