What streets are priority?
1) Major Intersections, School Zones
2) Emergency Routes, Primary Roads
3) Business District (Main St.) & Industrial
4) Residential Streets
Highway #2, #2A & #685 (51 St. & 55 Ave. & West of Highway #2 on 50 Ave.)...These are all done by La Prairie.
Who is responsible for the snow ridge left by the grader at the end of my driveway?
The residents are responsible for this, however as a courtesy public works does remove this ridge for you, when time allows.
Where do I put snow from my driveway, and private or public sidewalk?
All snow removal from your property, and a public or private sidewalk, must remain on your property. No snow is to be placed on the streets or pushed across town alleys onto another’s property.
Who is responsible to clear snow from Fire Hydrants?
The person whose property is abut to the hydrant is responsible to clear snow within a 2-meter radius.
What happens when vehicles are left on the street during snow removal?
The Town of Grimshaw public works makes every effort to notify residents when they will be doing snow removal.
If you notice public works are out doing snow removal in your area please try to make arrangements to have your vehicle moved from the street, as this makes their process go that much quicker.
If you are unable to move your vehicle, it is your responsibility to clean the snow from around the vehicle.
