Here’s a summary of the planned improvements and investments in our community in 2024 being funded from the Town of Grimshaw Capital Reserves:

• Cemetery Improvements: $20,000
• Outdoor Swimming Pool: $39,000 (Pool cover, slide, floor coating)
• Parks: $40,000 (Picnic tables, garbage bins, dugout safety fence for diamonds 3 and 4, Dog Off-Leash Park)
• Fitness Center Equipment: $10,500
• Printer for Multiplex: $11,700
• Paving Projects: $1,050,000  53rd & 54th Ave (1 block on each avenue) $685,819 plus engineering
• Public Works Equipment: $25,000
• Lagoon Cleaning: $75,000
• Sewer Manhole/Main Replacement: $100,000
• To Fix Water Breaks Patches: $75,000

𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 for Capital Projects in 2024: $1,446,200

𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 received: $1,049,600

= $𝟯𝟵𝟲,𝟲𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗵𝗮𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀

Note that Capital Reserves are allocations of funds specifically for the Town's capital projects. These reserves are budgeted yearly before property tax mill rates are calculated. Grant Funding for 2024 capital projects includes $413,400 from the Local Government Fiscal Framework Grant and $636,600 from the Canada Community Building Fund Grant.
