The Regional Assessment Review Board (RARB) – Members at Large
We are looking for two individuals interested in serving as members at large on the Regional Assessment Review Board (RARB).
Members will review assessment complaints and make fair and impartial decisions in response.
The RARB hears complaints about property assessments within:
- County of Northern Lights
- MD of Peace No. 135
- Town of Grimshaw
- Town of Manning
- Village of Berwyn
We Are Looking for Individuals Who:
- Are interested in property assessment, real estate, governance, or decision-making processes
- Can maintain confidentiality and conduct themselves impartially
- Are willing to complete any required training
- Want to make a meaningful contribution by ensuring fairness and transparency in property assessments
- Want to gain experience in a quasi-judicial role that builds your professional skillset
New members are required to complete online training to receive SDAB certification. Members are appointed for a 3-year term and may apply for reappointment.
Previous experience is an asset but not required. Training hosted by the Alberta Land and Property Rights Tribunal is required and paid for by the Town of Grimshaw.
