Council Meeting Highlights - March 11, 2026

Here are the highlights from the March 11 Council Meeting:

▪ Council approved the request for the Smash the Lot event from the Peace Country Youth Unlimited on May 23, 2026, in the parking lot south of the Town Office.

▪ A donation of $2500 was approved by Council for the Grimshaw History Book.

▪ Council directed Administration to develop and implement a donation program structured on a quarterly basis, and to advertise the available funding amount for each quarter.

▪ Council requested that Administration share the Enabled Housing Choice report with residents.

▪ Council approved the third and final reading of Bylaw No. 1217 CAO Bylaw.

▪ Council approved the Working Alone Policy for all Town of Grimshaw departments.

▪ Council directed Administration to implement and update the chart provided by Alberta Municipalities with the Town’s 2026 property tax data and share with residents.
