Council Meeting Highlights - October 14, 2026

Here are the highlights from the October 14 Council Meeting:

• Council approved the purchase of two signs from the Peace District Rural Sign Program. These signs will be going up near the drainage ditch and in the industrial area in Grimshaw.
• Council approved the Grimshaw Centennial Park Concept Plan as presented, including the proposed park library and reading area. With its mandate complete, the Grimshaw Centennial Park Steering Committee will dissolve, and Administration, together with Mackenzie Municipal Services Agency (MMSA), will  continue implementing the approved park concept.
• Council will be decorating and entering a mini tree into the final Festival of Mini Trees, which will be held at the Grimshaw Municipal Library from December 1 to 6, 2026.  
• Council made the decision to move the Organizational Meeting and Regular Council Meeting from October 28to October 29, 2026, due to a scheduling conflict.  The Organizational Meeting will begin at 6:30pm, with the Regular Council Meeting starting at 7:30pm.
