New Student Drop Off -Shared School Facility

Families with students at the Grimshaw Shared Schools Facility are directed to follow new drop-off and pick-up procedures.

A new area has been created in front of the bus loop on the west side of the street, with a marked crosswalk for safe access. Families should use this space along with the existing drop-off loop to help manage traffic flow. The Town’s east parking lot also remains available for those who prefer to park and walk their children across the street. Please review the notice and map below, and follow the guidelines to ensure safe and efficient access for all students. Thanks so much for your support and cooperation in keeping our young residents safe.

Dear Grimshaw Public School families,

As we quickly approach the start of another school year, we wanted to take a moment to address some important updates regarding student drop-off and pick-up procedures at the Grimshaw Shared Schools Facility. Our goal is to ensure the safety of every child and streamline traffic flow during peak hours.

To help alleviate congestion in the parent drop-off loop, a new drop-off area has been agreed upon and established by the Facility’s Joint-Use Committee. This new area is located directly in front of the bus loop on the west side of the street, with a clearly marked crosswalk across the entrance of the bus loop. We strongly encourage families to utilize this new space, in addition to the existing parent drop-off loop, especially during busy periods.

Please remember that the Town's East parking lot also remains a viable option. Parents are welcome to continue parking there and walking their children across the street to the school.

It is crucial that all parents and guardians adhere to these new procedures. As one of three partners in the Grimshaw Shared Schools Facility, it is essential that we are respectful of everyone's access to the building and avoid blocking any entrances or exits. Please take some time to review the included map to familiarize yourself with the drop-off and pick-up locations ahead of September 2.

Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. By following these guidelines, you are contributing directly to the safety of our students and to maintaining a positive relationship with our community partners.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us make this a smooth and safe school year for everyone.
