Special Council Meeting Highlights - May 6, 2025

Council held a Special Meeting on May 6, 2025 to discuss the following: 

Tax Rate Bylaw 1214
Council gave three readings and passed Tax Rate Bylaw #1214, which authorizes the residential and commercial rates of taxation to be levied against assessable property within the Town of Grimshaw for the 2025 taxation year. This bylaw outlines property class-specific tax rates in accordance with provincial regulations and municipal needs. Tax notices will be prepared and sent out by May 15, 2025.

Operating Budget
Council approved the Town of Grimshaw's Operating Budget of $7,517,097.44. The operating budget covers day-to-day operations, including staff salaries and wages, facility and infrastructure maintenance, utilities, office and program supplies, insurance coverage, core services, and community programs.
