Council Meeting Highlights - July 8, 2026
Here are the highlights from the July 8 Council Meeting:
- Lucien Dubois, Bylaw Officer, presented the Bylaw Enforcement Report to Council, and Darryl Grant, Public Works, presented the Public Works Report.
- Council approved the revised Vision 2026-2030 Strategic Plan.
- Council proclaimed the week of September 21 to 27, 2026, as Rail Safety Week. This campaign is meant to help educate the public, prevent crossing collisions, and stop track tragedies.
- Council agreed to donate 140 Town of Grimshaw pins to the U16 Grizzlies European Hockey Tour. The team, made up of players from northern Alberta, will compete in a tournament in Finland in early August. Each player’s tournament bag will include a Town pin.
- Council directed Administration to apply to the Peace Region Economic Development Alliance Municipal Project Fund for the Kennedy Park Project and the Building Condition Assessment.
