Council Meeting Highlights - June 24, 2026
Here are the highlights from the June 24 Council Meeting:
- Grimshaw & District Chamber of Commerce: Director, Tom MacDougall, and Treasurer, Amanda Condrotte, presented two partnership proposals to enhance shared space in the Town Administration Building and strengthen collaboration with the Town. The proposals include creating a shared conference and meeting area and upgrading the Chamber’s existing space to better support local business, tourism, and community development.
- Council will participate in the annual Canada Day Parade and will also host a community engagement booth during the day’s events to connect with the public.
- Council directed Administration to proceed with an application under the Alberta Municipal Water/Wastewater Partnership for grant funding to complete a water plant feasibility study.
- The third reading of Bylaw No. 1219 Emergency Management Bylaw was approved by Council.
- Council approved the Council Strategic Priorities Plan as presented.
- Council will hold a Regular Council meeting on July 8, and the scheduled Regular Council meeting for July 22 has been cancelled.
