Council Meeting Highlights - May 27, 2026

Here are the highlights from the May 27 Council Meeting:

  • Olivia Norton presented ideas to Council about expanding recreation opportunities for youth and teens in town, including programs and activities designed to encourage participation, social connection, and positive use of community spaces.
  • Director of Community Services Tracy Halerewich presented a request to remove the old playground structure at West Wind Village and replace it with a new one. Council approved the request.
  • Town of Grimshaw Council proclaimed the week of June 1-7, 2026, as Seniors' Week.
  • Council received the quarterly Community Policing Report for the period of January 1st to March 31st, 2026. This report provides an overview of human resources, financial information, and crime statistics for the Peace River Detachment, and reflects the ongoing priorities identified by the community they serve.
