National Volunteer Week Events

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸!

 

It is a time to celebrate and recognize the incredible individuals who generously give their time, skills, and passion to strengthen our community. Volunteers are the heart of our programs, events, boards, clubs, and service organizations. In recognition of National Volunteer Week (𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟵–𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲), the Town of Grimshaw Community Services Department is pleased to be hosting a variety of events throughout the week to give back to those who support our communities.

 

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬
  • Puzzle Tree Craft at the Brownvale Community & District Library, 11:00am to 1:00pm. Snacks and door prizes available!

𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟭

  • ️Appreciation Luncheon and Live Music at the Berwyn Golden Age Drop-In Centre, 11:30am to 1:30pm. Music by George Brothers, door prizes, and soup & sandwiches including dessert!

W𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟮

  • Ignite Volunteerism Regional Recruitment Fair at the Kennedy Gymnasium, 6:00 to 8:00pm. This event provides community groups and organizations with the opportunity to promote their organization and its mission, showcase their programs, events, and services, and recruit new volunteers!

𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟯

  • Appreciation Supper and Music at the Grimshaw Legion, 5:30 to 7:30pm. Live music by Vic and the Chicks, and door prizes available!

𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟱

  • Grimshaw Fire Hall Open House, 11:00am to 3:00pm. Come learn about being a volunteer firefighter!
