Volunteer of the Month
This month, we’re celebrating Kelly Burgess as our Volunteer of the Month!
Kelly has been volunteering on and off since she was a teenager, from helping coach to serving on parent committees. She is currently volunteering for her second year with Grimshaw Minor Ball.
Her inspiration came from her mom, who volunteered all the time—helping at the school, sitting on boards, and organizing local events for almost everything Kelly and her siblings took part in. Her mom continues to volunteer to this day and is a big reason Kelly started volunteering in the first place. Now, Kelly does it for her kids.
Kelly enjoys giving back to the community. She has been in Grimshaw for almost five years, loves the small town, and is happy to help in any way she can.
Her advice to future volunteers: “Put yourself out there, start helping in an area you’re passionate about and go from there. There’s no shortage of organizations that can use an extra hand, and many hands make light work.”
Thank you, Kelly, for all that you do! We greatly appreciate your commitment to the community!
