Transfer Station Winter Hours
Tuesday – noon (12:00) to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday – noon (12:00) to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Northern Air Walking Track & Les Shaw Fitness Centre will be open longer during the weekday evenings until 10:00 p.m. – On a trial basis from January 5 to March 13, 2015.
Snow Shoveling For Seniors – Volunteers are needed to help remove snow from sidewalks and driveways of senior citizens’ homes who are currently registered on the Senior Sow Removal Program here in Grimshaw.
There will be times this winter when senior citizens’ in our community require additional assistance with snow removal, due to the Peace River Correction Centre Inmate Work Crew not being able to assist.

Curbside Garbage Pick Up will be starting on November 1, 2014. The black bins should have arrived at your residence before that date. If you have not received a bin, please contact Prairie Disposal at 780-624-3388. Please see the attached brochures for more information garbage-bin.pdf and bins2. Thank you for your patience during this change! Please ensure that the wheels on your bin are facing the curb on the street for the automated garbage pickup. Also, please ensure bins are placed back in your yard once they have been emptied.

In addition to input collected and recorded in the “What You Said Report” from the Grimshaw Shared School Facility Project Community Conversation, additional questions, concerns and advice were posted to the “Parking Lot” by community members. The Parking Lot is a wall where people were invited to put forth additional comments, concerns, questions or advice on post-it notes. Grimshaw Shared School Facility Project
On May 27, 2014 The Town of Grimshaw, Peace River School Division and Holy Family Catholic Regional Division joined with approximately 100 Grimshaw community members to gather input on the Grimshaw Shared School Facility Project. The Grimshaw Shared Community School Project will see a K-12 Public school and a K-9 Catholic School attached to the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex by the fall of 2016. The input of the community from the Community Conversation is captured HERE in the “What You Said Report.” What You Said Report Grimshaw Community Conversation. Additional questions, comments and concerns outside of the focused group discussions were posted to a “parking lot” document. These items are currently being responded to by way of a question and answer document that will be added to this wepage in the very near future. The information gathered through the Grimshaw Shared School Facility Community Conversation and other meetings held to date will be reviewed and considered while planning the new facility in order to best meet the needs of the entire community. Once the design for the school is complete, a public meeting will be held to share the design with the community. The Town of Grimshaw, Peace River School Division and Holy Family Catholic Regional Division thank the community of Grimshaw for their time and input during the Community Conversation!
Public Notice: Town of Grimshaw Community Services Advisory Board – Grimshaw Town Council requires two new members from the Town of Grimshaw to sit on the community Services Advisory Board for a six year term. Board meeting take place on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Don Stannard Meeting Room at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex.
