Council Meeting Highlights - September 9, 2026

Here are the highlights from the September 9, Council Meeting:

• S/Sgt. Lacey Blair provided Council with an informational presentation regarding the Grimshaw RCMP Detachment.
• Corinna Williams provided Council with a presentation about the Crime Prevention
  Association.
• Council directed Administration to contact Atco Electric to increase the Franchise Fee from 6% to 8%.
• Council approved Policy 6.01 Council, Board and Committee Member Remuneration with amendments.
• Council appointed Councillor Allen and Councillor Thompson to the MDP & LUB Review & Rewrite Steering Committee.
• Council approved to donate $1000 to the Grimshaw Soccer Club for equipment, and $1000 to Youth for Christ.
• Council reviewed the draft budgets for Bylaw, Council, Administration, Community Development, GRHARC, Kennedy Building and Development Appeal.
