Postal Strike - Important Information for Residents

There is the potential for a mail service disruption due to a possible Canada Post strike starting as early as tomorrow Friday, May 23, 2025. As a precaution, the Town of Grimshaw is advising residents to avoid mailing any payments or time-sensitive documents at this time. To ensure your payments are received on time, please consider the following alternatives:

Online banking bill payments
• Add the Town of Grimshaw as a payee through your online banking platform.

E-transfer
• Send payments to frontdesk@grimshaw.ca and include your utility or tax roll number in the message field to be sure payments are applied to the correct accounts.

In-person payment
• Payments can be made at the Town Office during regular business hours by cash, cheque, or debit.

Property tax, utility (water and sewer), and accounts receivable will continue to operate as usual. Residents are responsible for ensuring payments are made by their due dates, regardless of any postal strike delays.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Town Office at 780-332-4626.
